QUICK ANSWER
The July 16 title update changes Dynasty coach progression with three new Coach XP Speed Settings, improves CPU recruiting behavior, clarifies Road to Glory progression without XP sliders, and fixes EDGE position battle progression.

This is a systems update, so the biggest impact is on progression pace and CPU behavior rather than new teams or modes. Dynasty, Online Dynasty, and Road to Glory all get changes players will feel across longer saves.

July 16 mode changes for Dynasty and Road to Glory

Mode Change
Dynasty Coach progression now uses Career, Simulation, and Casual Coach XP Speed Settings.
Online Dynasty The commissioner chooses one Coach XP Speed Setting for the whole league.
Dynasty CPU recruiting tuning makes teams compete harder for highly rated recruits, retain offered recruits better, and reduce late-cycle offer gaps.
Road to Glory Standalone XP sliders are not returning.
Road to Glory Progression is shaped by difficulty, Weekly Agenda, Fitness, Leadership, NIL deals, Wear and Tear, Legacy Score, scholarship bonuses, and on-field performance.
Dynasty / Road to Glory EDGE players now progress correctly in position battles.
Gameplay Defensive package resets during hurry-up offense and Switch Stick input delay are addressed.

The update is aimed at how saves develop over time. The gameplay fixes matter during games, but the main focus is the way coaches, recruits, and Road to Glory players progress.

Coach XP speed now has three Dynasty presets

Setting XP speed Best for
Career 1.0x Long-term Dynasty Blueprint pacing where Coach Points and coaching choices carry more weight.
Simulation 1.25x Moderately faster coach growth without turning progression into a short sprint.
Casual 1.5x The fastest coach progression option.

Coach XP Speed Settings replace the previous coach XP slider approach with three clear pacing choices. The idea is simple: keep the long Dynasty Blueprint arc, move it a little faster, or speed through coach growth more aggressively.

KEY!For solo Dynasty, the right pick depends on how long you want the save to breathe. For Online Dynasty, this is a league-level setting chosen by the commissioner, so everyone in that league shares the same coach progression speed.

Career is also the new default-style long-term pace, matching the previous 1.0x baseline. Simulation is the middle ground, while Casual is for players who want coach development to move quickly across a shorter save.

QUICK WIN

Use Career for long-running Online Dynasties unless your league actively wants faster coaching trees, because the commissioner setting affects every coach in the league.

CPU recruiting is tougher in Dynasty

Recruiting tuning targets the CPU side of Dynasty. CPU-controlled schools should now apply more pressure for highly rated recruits instead of leaving too many top prospects with weak competition.

CPU teams should also do a better job after extending offers. That means stronger prioritization, better retention, and fewer late-cycle situations where recruits end up without viable offers.

KEY!The recruiting work is a two-part fix: the July 16 title update includes the first part, and the second part is planned for a future title update with no date attached.

Road to Glory progression stays system-driven

Road to Glory did not get standalone XP sliders in the July 16 title update. Player growth remains tied to the mode’s broader progression structure instead of a manual slider that can be turned up or down.

The major progression inputs are difficulty, Weekly Agenda decisions, Fitness, Leadership, NIL deals, Wear and Tear, Legacy Score, scholarship bonuses, and on-field performance. Higher difficulty grants more XP, while Fitness and Leadership directly affect how quickly progression XP is earned during the season.

Weekly management is part of the progression loop, not just flavor. If Wear and Tear is turned off, one progression challenge is removed, and an internal XP modifier compensates so leveling does not move faster than intended.

EDGE position battles now progress correctly

The mode-specific fix here is for EDGE players in Dynasty and Road to Glory position battles. EDGE players should now be able to trigger the position-battle progression needed to climb the depth chart.

The smaller gameplay fixes are still useful inside these saves: defensive packages should stop resetting during hurry-up offense, and Switch Stick input delay has been addressed. A follow-up fix for remaining Cap Breakers issues is planned, with no dated timing.

The paid progression change happened before this title update. As of July 11, paid progression options were removed from Road to Glory and Online Dynasty.

College Points still remain usable elsewhere, including Ultimate Team, but they no longer function as paid progression in those two modes.
