Battletoads is an old franchise that was thought to have been lost to obscurity. The last version, Battletoads Arcade was released back in 1994 and the last we heard about it, was in 2015 when Rare, the developer of Battletoads previews a new revamped version. Sadly, that too was 5 years ago, but this week finally brings us the good news about the Battleltoads reboot. It is ready for release and shall see the light of day on the 20th of August this year. But will it be free? Let’s find out.
What is new in Battletoads 2020?
The new Battletoads Reboot will feature the same style of artwork with new and improved ambient mechanics like lighting. The game will come with improved battle mechanics and over the top action sequences that should keep you engaged for hours at a stretch. It will see the return of our iconic heroes Rash, Pimple, and Zitz in a new space adventure setting. Let’s take a look at some of the stand-out features.

Will the Battletoads Reboot be free?
It doesn’t seem that way, for now, there has been no announcement on the price yet but the game is to be bundled with Xbox Game Pass and will also be available on the Microsoft. This leads to believe it is not a free game, as Microsoft won’t be looking to bundle it with the Xbox pass if it wasn’t paid. While the price hasn’t been announced it seems that the game will be paid.
How much will Battletoads cost?
There is no news on the pricing yet. Microsoft is expected to release the price soon as the release date for Battletoads approaches. An educated guess would ideally put the price below $10 considering prices of similar games but you never know about modern-day developers.
