HMD Global resurrected the Nokia 3310 feature phone and despite being another dumbphone, it still lets you browse the web. In fact, the phone has a 4G version that is as good, but Samsung has a different version of a dumbphone in its latest mobile phone, the Galaxy J2 Pro.
Apart from having a touchscreen and Android (not confirmed, although it’s likely to be given the Galaxy branding), the Galaxy J2 Pro is basically a feature phone – because, well, it has no internet connectivity. A strange decision at a time when most people are after the internet, but it can still be a good buy for students who want to focus on their studies or even older people who want nothing to do with the internet but still fancy a touchscreen phone.

That aside, it appears that the Galaxy J2 Pro’s alarm function isn’t working properly for some early adopters of the phone in Korea. Apparently, the alarm doesn’t ring at the pre-set time, but Samsung says it is aware of the problem and a fix is coming soon, ETNews reports.
So, how will Samsung update the Galaxy J2 Pro to fix the issue without 3G, LTE or Wi-Fi on the device? Well, it’s possible that Samsung will push a server-side update to the firmware. ETNews talks of a FOTA program (Wireless Firmware Upgrade) and for those who can’t wait any longer, they are advised to visit a service center.
