The 2015 Flagship phone from Motorola, Moto X Pure (Style), packs a 3000 mAh battery inside, with enough power backup to get you through a day.
But of course, the more the better is the mantra when it comes to battery life, and so developer VadimTk has built this cool app called MotoXCPUManager that can restrict some of the CPU cores on your Moto X Pure/Style and thus significantly increase battery life.
Moto X Pure comes with a 6 core CPU, but unless you’re doing CPU intensive tasks on your device you don’t need 6 core performance. So temporarily disabling 2-4 cores on the device won’t negatively affect the performance for basic tasks, but can make a huge difference to your Moto X Pure battery life.
The app has option to disable only 2 cores, 3 cores or 4 cores. You can chose the option that suits your usage the most. There’s also an option to “Enable all cores” to get back the full performance of the device.
You can download the MotoXCPUManager apk file from the link below, install it like you’d install any other apk on your device.
