Earlier this month, we told you that Huawei could launch the Y3 2017 handset in Egypt soon. Well, the day is here. The Chinese smartphone vendor has launched the Huawei Y3 2017, Y5 2017, and Y7 Prime in Egypt today.
The Egyptian variant of the Y3 2017 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6580M chipset clocked at 1.3GHz. It features a 5.0-inch FWVGA display and packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. The 3G-enabled phone comes with an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front-facing camera and is backed by a 2,200mAh battery.

The Y5 2017 features slightly better specs than the Y3 2017. It has a 5.0-inch HD display, 1.4GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and a 3,000mAh battery.
The Y7 Prime, on the other hand, comes with 5.5-inch HD display, 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 435 SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, 4G support, 12MP primary camera, 8MP selfie shooter, and a massive 4,000mAh battery to keep the device juiced up all day.
While the Y3 2017 and Y5 2017 come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based EMUI 4.1, the Y7 Prime boots Android Nougat-enabled EMUI 5.1 straight out-of-the-box.
