Japanese Huawei fans are in for a treat, as the flagship Huawei P10 is finally coming to their stores. Tagging along is the Huawei Watch 2 smartwatch. The P10 was launched internationally back in March and the smartwatch was released a month later, in April.
Starting with the Huawei P10, the smartphone sits at the top of Huawei’s lineup with formidable hardware. The device features a crisp 5.1-inch 1080p display, 4GB of RAM and runs on Huawei’s own octa-core Kirin 960 chipset. A 3200mAh battery keeps the light on, giving the user about a day’s use.
As for the Huawei Watch 2, the smartwatch is no lesser in terms of performance. The smartwatch features the new Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoC, which is custom designed for wearables. It also comes with 768MB of RAM (which is plenty BTW), a 1.2-inch circular AMOLED display with a sharp 326PPI pixel density and a relatively large 420mAh battery.
The Huawei P10 runs on EMUI 5.1 sitting on top of Android 7.0 and the Watch 2 runs on Android Wear 2.0, so you’re pretty much on point with the latest software experience from Google. The Huawei Watch 2 luckily comes with the IP68 water and dust resistance certification but the same isn’t true for the P10, but other than that the handset is excellent. When used together, both devices serve as a sweet combo.
