Up until now, we believed that Huawei’s next P series successor would be called P11, as the previous model was called P10. However, according to a new leak from China, the device could be instead called the Huawei P20.
Alongside the P20, you can also expect the P20 Plus and the P20 Pro with more RAM, storage, and battery. The leak also revealed that these new smartphones from Huawei could also feature a triple camera setup at the back.
Schematics show the new designs of the Huawei P20, P20 Plus, and the P20 Pro. The regular P20 and the P20 Plus will have different screen sizes and a fingerprint sensor/Home button at the front. Because of the different screen size, the phones will also be different in size.
The Huawei P20 Pro, on the other hand, will have a display with a notch, similar to the iPhone X. The Pro variant will have the fingerprint sensor placed on the back. All three devices seem to have the triple-camera setup at the back.
The triple-camera setup is placed differently on all three devices, but rumors have suggested that they will have up to 5X hybrid zoom and a total resolution of 40MP. If this is indeed the successor to the P10, then according to rumors, the phones would be equipped with the Kirin 970 processor and up to 8GB of RAM. The Pro variant could feature a Kirin 975 processor.
We believe Huawei could announce the P20 series at the Mobile World Congress this year. What do you think of the new design and the triple camera setup?
