Huawei P10 Lite arrived in Canada in June 2017 and a year later, the device is now gearing up to receive its first major OS upgrade that installs Android Oreo.
We already knew of this impending Oreo update following Fido’s announcement earlier this month that the OS will roll out to the Huawei P10 Lite in July. However, the latest development comes from yet another Canadian carrier, Rogers, whose software update page now says the P10 Lite Oreo update will begin rolling out soon.
Although there’s nothing specific about a “Coming soon” release date, we believe Fido’s July release date will also be shared by those using the Huawei P10 Lite on Rogers, too.
It’s unlikely that the P10 Lite will receive an update to Android P, but of course, you won’t be short of custom ROMs based on this upcoming OS. Meanwhile, you can check out this list of devices that we think will receive Android P and make the switch, if need be.
