Huawei MediaPad T3 8.0 US release nears, gets certified by FCC

Huawei silently launched its Android tablet MediaPad T3 last month followed by a Poland release. And now the Tablet is inching closer to a US release as the device was spotted on US certification site FCC.

Notably, MediaPad T3 comes in three size variants — 7-inch, 8-inch and 10-inch. While the MediaPad T3 7.0-inch (W09) has already landed at FCC, this time the MediaPad T3 8.0-inch (L09) passed the US certification site hinting that its release in the country is just round the corner.

Huawei also, last month, launched only the 7-inch and 8-inch MediaPad T3. Other than the screen size, the two variants differ in a number of aspects viz SoC, storage capacity, battery size, software, and even cameras.

While Huawei MediaPad T3 7-inch comes in two storage options of 1GB RAM/ 8GB ROM and 2GB RAM / 16GB ROM, the 8-inch Tablet packs in either 2GB RAM / 16GB ROM or 3GB RAM / 32GB ROM. The former is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK8127 chipset while the latter carries quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz.

On the imaging front as well, the smaller variant gets a downer with 2MP/2MP camera combos while the 8-inch Tabler gets a 5MP rear camera with autofocus and a 2MP selfie shooter. Coming to the software, we find Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 running MediaPad T3 8.0 while Android Marshmallow OS with EMUI 4.1 skin on top runs the small MediaPad T3. The battery on board the 7-inch and 8-inch Tablets are 3,100 mAh and 4,800 mAh respectively.
