April 19, 2019: A new update is rolling out to the Mate 20 in China as EMUI 9.1.0.116, which improves the system stability in certain scenarios and fixes bugs here and there.
The update, the first stable EMUI 9.1 version to arrive as an upgrade from EMUI 9.0, also has plenty of other stuff on board, among them, support for long-pressing the power button to trigger HiVoice digital assistant, GPU Turbo technology, and April 2019 security patches.
There is even more to the update, as captured in the screengrabs below, but still, doesn’t justify the massive 4.56GB file size.
The update is arriving over the air, but you need at least EMUI 9.1.0.115 installed to receive the download notification. Just so you know, the update is available for models HMA-AL00 and HMA-TL00.

- Eligible for Android Q and R
Huawei Mate 20 will receive at least two major Android OS upgrades, beginning with Android Q. No Huawei device participated in Android P early access program, but we hope this will change with Android Q, whose developer preview is expected in less than two months.
