Huawei is preparing to take the world by storm with its latest flagships, the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. The phones have leaked extensively in the past few weeks, revealing what to expect.
The duo is going sport a triple-camera setup on the back which along with the LED light will be arranged in a unique square-like configuration. Like in the case of the P20 and P20 Pro, the camera is developed by photography titan Leica.

The main 40MP sensor on board of the P20 Pro offers some unique features including a new technology called Fusion Light. This gave users the option to save photos at full resolution, or to create an improved variant at only 10MP. This was achieved by combining 4 pixels into one.
This a software trick that allows Huawei’s flagship to shoot awesome pictures in low-light. And according to people who unearth a trademark, on the Mate 20 series, Huawei is going to implement a tweaked version of Fusion Light, which it calls FusionMind.

This new system will still combine multiple pixels into one, but this time around it will also leverage the power of Huawei’s AI.
So on the new phones instead of manually choosing to save an image at full res or 10MP, the AI brain will do that automatically for you. Basically, the software will decide how to save a file depending on the scenario, thus making your job a lot easier.
