It was only a few days ago that the Pro version of the Mate 20 series hit the Geekbench. And today, the Mate 20, codenamed Huawei HMA, has hit the benchmarking site, too! The HMA-L29 model, BTW, could be the European variant of the Mate 20 with dual SIM support.
As you can see in the image above, the Mate 20 is scoring 3037 points in single-core performance of the version 4 of Geekbench benchmark, while under the multi-core performance test, it scores 9724 points.
Surprisingly, the single-core performance is about 10% lower than that of the Mate 20 Pro, which scores around 3300 points in the test. Given that Mate 20 Pro features a Full HD+ display compared to a Quad HD+ one on the Mate 20, the lower score (above) of the latter could be very well down to it powering the extra pixels on the Quad HD+ display. Thoughts?
The device obviously runs on Android 9, which is what we expected to come pre-installed on both the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro.
