Earlier this year, there were rumors that Huawei will team up with Google for the manufacturing of the next Nexus smartphone. Now, there is more information regarding the same. These were revealed by a Chinese analyst with good connections in the Chinese mobile industry.
As per Pan Jiutang, the Huawei made Nexus smartphone will be using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor that is being used by a few other flagship smartphones in the market. The device is claimed to boast of a 5.7 inch 2K display, but it should be a Quad HD display.
The Huawei CEO made some negative comments regarding the usefulness of the technology in the current generation smartphones, but it is Google that will be designing the Nexus smartphone.
Earlier, the talks of a Huawei made Nexus smartphone was not probable as the manufacturer was known to use only its Kirin SoCs in its offerings and the same was not well accepted in the western markets. If the report is authentic, the Snapdragon 810 chipset from Qualcomm might change this trend.
