The last time we heard anything about the Huawei Honor Maya was when it cleared WiFi certification last month. The device, carrying the model number MYA-AL10, is now visiting TENAA which means that its release into the world is also nearing closer, apart from getting us plenty of images of the device (see gallery below). Huawei may release the device in the a month or two.

Our previous report indicated that the smartphone was running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. This lead us to conclude that the Honor Maya may be a budget oriented entry-level device from the Chinese OEM.

From the pictures shown below, it does give an impression of a entry-level smartphone in the making, featuring a simple candy-bar design and fairly thick curved back. The main shooter can be found at the device’s back, which seems to be a textured one. And a plastic one, perhaps.

The Huawei Maya also features a flash module to the right of front facing camera, which is cool for an entry level device, but our only gripe here is that the device doesn’t have Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box — and would likely stay on Marshmallow for its entire life. In fact, competing OEMs have already managed to push out budget devices with Nougat.
