As of now, Huawei Honor 5X Marshmallow update stands suspended in US because of some change made to the update. The company’s Twitter handle just broke the news.
Huawei is not even recommending using the Marshmallow firmware available on their site, while asking users to wait it out until next update becomes available.
Here’s the tweet in which a user asked about the current status of the update, of which screenie at the top contains replies.
Earlier, the Android 6.0.1 update was released for Honor 5X after a long time of wait period, and even the firmware was made available for easier transition from Lollipop to Marshmallow, for those who hate OTAs.
Recently Huawei released a downgrade package for its Honor 6 in UK and Italy, so that users not happy with device performance on Marshmallow can go back to Lollipop. Looking at how things stand right now, we can’t rule out Huawei releasing a similar Marshmallow-to-Lollipop downgrade package for Honor 5X in US, too!
Do you use a Honor 5X in US? How’s the performance of the device on Marshmallow, do share your thoughts with us.
