Huawei’s Y series caters for the price-sensitive market and it is about to get better with the introduction of the Y7 2019 model, so it seems.
Not long ago, a Huawei device codenamed DUB-LX3 stopped by the FCC, giving the impression that the Chinese OEM has plans to refresh the Y7 family with a 2019 model. At the time, we only got the measurements of the device alongside a few other details, but now we have the images of the same phone thanks to China’s TENAA.

It seems we are going to see more teardrop-style notches this coming 2019. We’ve already seen several from Huawei and from the images on TENAA, the alleged Huawei Y7 2019 will also have one to house an 8MP selfie camera. The left-hand side of the phone has a SIM card tray while the opposite end has the volume rockers and power button.
The Y7 2019 has a dual-lens camera on the back that’s believed to house a 13MP + 2MP unit, but what looks odd is the missing fingerprint scanner that was on the back of its predecessor. If previous rumors are to be believed, this device should debut with a 6.26-inch HD+ display screen and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, 3/32GB or 4/64GB memory options, a 3900mAh battery, and Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
With the alleged Y7 2019 frequently showing up in official places, it seems the launch could happen before the end of this year. We’ll keep an eye on the developments and keep you up to date.
