A couple of Huawei smartphones with the model numbers DLI-L22 and DLI-L42 have been just cleared by Wi-Fi Alliance. This obviously suggests that the smartphones in question will soon see the light of the day Android 7.0 Nougat onboard.

We tried to Google the aforesaid model numbers but sadly, couldn’t find any relevant information. That being said, the firmware version does mention Delhi which got us thinking that maybe these are the same phones Huawei promised to launch in the country with the Made in India tag.

Moreover, the fact that the model number starts with “DLI” which in all its likelihood could be a code for “Delhi” corroborates that these are the Made in India phones indeed.

Currently, it’s not clear as to which phones these model numbers point at. However, considering that the company has labeled the Honor 6X a Make in India product, we expect one of these devices to be the 6X.

Besides, the company had already launched the Honor Holly 3 under the Make in India initiative. So, it could be the second device with Android Nougat onboard.

Or, both the handsets mentioned above could be entirely new smartphones made especially for the Indian market. We can’t ignore the possibility, right?
