Huawei has been busy the last few days, with the Android OEM announcing the MediaPad M3 Lite 10.0 (its 10-inch tablet) with Harman Kardon audio after the tablet received its Bluetooth certification. Just two days after its 10-inch tablet announcement, the manufacturer has announced the Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 8.0 tablet in Russia.
The Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 8.0 features an 8.4-inch display with a screen resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, and a 1.4Ghz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset. The device in no slouch when it comes to performance, as it also features a 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB RAM and storage combos, with a microSD card slot for storage expansion, which is pretty ideal for tablets.
You get 8MP front/8MP back cameras on the MediaPad M3 Lite, and a 4,800mAh battery to keep the lights on. Android 7.0 Nougat with Huawei’s EMUI 5.1 overlay comes pre-installed, and we’re sure that Huawei would update the tablet to Android 7.1.1, while there is good chance that it will see a day in Android O build too.
For those who want a front-mounted fingerprint sensor, the MediaPad M3 Lite 8.0 has a front fingerprint sensor embedded into a home button.
The most special feature of the 8-inch tablet, apart from its smaller size, is the inclusion of two Harman Kardon audio speakers, one on the top and one on the bottom, which means that MediaPad M3 Lite 8.0 buyers will have a strong music listening and media consumption experience. Of course, MediaPad M3 Lite 10.0 buyers have 4 Harman Kardon speakers at their disposal, so there’s that.
Huawei is providing both LTE and Wi-Fi-only models, giving consumers the choice over their data. The MediaPad M3 Lite 8.0 will come in gold and silver colors. No price has been given at this time.
