HTC, which only recently announced Lollipop upgrade for the Desire Eye smartphone in Taiwan is finally expanding the range of its upgrado-scope to include other reigons and devices.
HTC UK yesterday joined the club of those offering the Lollipop when it announced the update for two HTC devices, namely — the Desire Eye and the Desire 816.
While the devices will now host a whole variety of brand new features and add-ons, the latest Sense UI 7 has not been made available with it, as some expected. We assume HTC is saving the 7.0 for a later time, possibly when it offers the 5.1 upgrade. For now, the user interface offered is the Sense 6.5 — which is still an improvement over the previous Sense 6.0.
Well, so the Desire Eye and the 816 join HTC One, One M8, Desire E8 and Butterfly S as devices which have received the latest android while according to a previous leak which outlined the update schedule, HTC One Max, One mini 2 and One mini are among those likely to be updated next.
If you do own one of these devices, now would be a good time to fire up that wi-fi folks.
