We’ve been seeing leaks of multiple HTC One devices throughout the week and today seems to be the most heated day of all. Earlier today we reported about HTC One M8 Plus and HTC One M8 Advance devices. We’re still not sure if those devices are for real or not. But we’ve got solid evidence on existence of a plastic HTC One device, namely HTC One E8 “Vogue edition”.
This new name and model came from HTC’s official Chinese website where some sort of contest is going on for the new device and for which the results will be announced on June 3. So that makes it official that HTC is indeed launching a new device on June 3.
We came to the HTC One “E8” name through the url address of the page where the new device is showcased on HTC’s site → http://www.htc.com/cn/go/e8/. However, Engadget seems to believe that the new device will be called HTC One M8 Ace, which could also be true given the rumors we’ve been hearing about the M8 Ace edition as well.
Anyway, we’re going to believe this new device is HTC One E8 since it’s inferior than the M8 in terms of build. And besides, the M8 already has a trimmed down brother called HTC One Mini 2 which has its metallic guts. Also, maybe the M series of HTC phones is exclusively for metallic builds only?
The HTC One E8 will be announced on June 3. It’ll be followed by results of an ongoing contest (China exclusive), for which winners will be receiving 100 limited “Vogue edition” HTC One E8 devices.
The HTC one E8 price is still a question and we hope to find answers to that on the launch event. Meanwhile, check out the confirmed HTC One E8 specifications revealed from the official chinese HTC website:
