HTC has finally released the Android 7.0 Nougat update for its One A9, and it’s coming as software version 2.18.617.1, sized 1.16GB. We already knew the rollout was set to begin today thanks to a tweet from @Moversi, HTC VP, and it’s finally seeding to users.

Apart from the Nougat update, the update also brings the latest security patch, which we believe is the January monthly release, although it could be December patch too.

The Nougat update gets you an amazing set of features, including Direct Reply that lets you reply directly to chats from the notification shade itself. Your notifications from the same app are now bundled in Android 7.0, while the whole of notification shade looks way improved now.

Even the Doze mode, that was introduced with Marshmallow, has received a significant boost on Nougat, as it can now save your battery even while you are one the move.

HTC had to halt the HTC 10 Nougat update because if bugs reported by users, but they plan to resume the newer Android 7.0 build soon, with January-end the target. HTC has already handed One M9 users their Nougat update, BTW.
