HTC’s last year flagship, the HTC 10 is currently receiving a new firmware update which comes in regards to the O2 users in Germany.

The new update is being currently pushed over-the-air (OTA) and arrives with the software version 2.48.206.3. The changelog says nothing but “system optimization.” So, expect certain bug fixes alongside improvements in the performance.

Since the update is being pushed OTA, it could take a while for the update to reach your handset. Just in case you can’t wait to install the update, there’s an alternative way through which you can check for the update manually. All you have to do is to head straight to the Settings > About Device > System updates and check for the update.

It’s always a good practice to charge your device before installing the update so as to prevent it from shutting down while the update is being installed. Try to maintain at least 60-70 percent of battery life.

Also, do switch to a Wi-Fi network from mobile data before installing the update. This way, you can avoid additional data charges.
