How to take two different pictures on BeReal
BeReal does not offer you the option to take two different pictures natively on the platform when capturing your BeReal.
You instead need to be fast and trick the app during the image capturing process.
Due to the way in which camera apps are coded, your device can only snap one picture at a time.
This is why it takes a few seconds for BeReal to capture and combine captures from your front and rear camera. This gives you an opportunity to reposition your camera before BeReal takes your second capture.
Follow the steps below to help you take two different pictures on BeReal.
Note: Ensure camera sounds are enabled and do not disturb is disabled on your device. If you have an iOS device, ensure that the silent switch is turned off so you can hear your camera sounds when using the guide below.
Open BeReal and initiate a capture by either tapping Take your BeReal or by replying to your friends’ BeReal.
Now ensure your device has sounds and notifications enabled. Frame the shot you wish to capture and keep an eye on the subject of your second photo as well. Additionally, take notice of the camera preview on your screen. The first image will be captured by the camera whose preview is currently visible on your screen. The second image subsequently will be captured by your alternative camera. With this in mind, ready yourself to flip your device and frame the other shot as soon as you use the Shutter. Press the Shutter icon once you’re ready.
As soon as you hear the camera capture sound on your device, flip your device and frame the next shot.
If all goes well, you will have captured two different photos in your BeReal.
Repeat the steps above and try again if you aren’t happy with the results. Trial and error is the best way to go when trying this trick on BeReal.
