Hate to have apps on your device which you do not want? If yes, we can feel how much the AT&T Galaxy S5 must have bothered you with all the bloatware it comes pre-installed with. You may have ‘disabled’ some of those apps but they’re still there eating your precious storage, and worse, some bloatware don’t even disable.
Thankfully, rooting the AT&T Galaxy S5 can save you from the trouble. User muniz_ri over at XDA has created a DeBloater script for the AT&T S5 running the most recent OC4 update to remove the unwanted apps on the device with the help of root access.
The DeBloater script is a .bat file for Windows and comes with three de-bloating modes — Light, Medium and Extreme. Detailed list of apps that each of these three modes remove is at the bottom of this post.

ROOT REQUIRED
- Download and unrar the G900A_OC4_Batch_DeBloater.rar file on your PC.
- Turn On USB debugging on your AT&T Galaxy S5 from Developer options.
- Connect your S5 to PC.
└ Make sure correct drivers are installed. If not sure, download the latest Samsung Drivers from here. - Run the DeBloater.bat script from the files you extracted in Step 1.
- Choose the de-bloating as 1 for Light, 2 for Medium and 3 for Extreme.
└ Check the list of apps for each debloat mode below. - After you select the mode, you AT&T S5 might ask you for permission Grant root access to adb shell. Allow it.
- Once de-bloating script finishes its job. Reboot your S5.
