Get Veroquine by opening its chest in Masked Woods, a dungeon in Melias near Aurora’s Temple and Raivo Port.
Veroquine grants access to Prune, a unique combat art with a chance to waive its durability cost. Masked Woods contains three chests, so there’s optional loot to collect while you’re after the sword.

Masked Woods carries an Ideal Lv 15 recommendation. The journey shown here takes place during Part I: Cai’s Path, Chapter 8, Unyielding Feelings.

Veroquine’s requirements, stats and Prune combat art
Once collected, Veroquine is a unique cursed sword imbued with dark power. Using it builds up curse, and its weight affects your attack speed.
Veroquine’s weapon stat values
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Might | 13 |
| Durability | 30 |
| Weight | 12 |
| Hit | 60 |
| Avoid | 0 |
| Crit | 0 |
| Range | 1 |
| Curse | 2 |
Veroquine weighs the same as a Short Axe and has a similar hit chance. Sword-category follow-up attacks receive a 1.2× damage multiplier, which applies when your wielder gets a follow-up attack.

Prune is specific to Veroquine; ordinary sword proficiency doesn’t grant it. The combat art has a base cost of 10 and adds 15 Might and 20 Hit, with a Crit modifier of 0 and range of 1.
Its durability waiver is a chance-based effect: the trigger percentage equals the wielder’s Dexterity. It doesn’t make every use free.
Plan around Prune’s base cost when choosing an attack; treat a free activation as a bonus.
Other loot to collect in Masked Woods
You can pick up the optional Venom Bow during your visit. It has 20 durability, 8 Might, 9 weight, 75 Hit and range 2, and its weight can sometimes be low enough to let you double attack. That’s another weapon to consider.
There’s ore to gather in Masked Woods, too: Venomstone, Wootz Steel and Lunar Stone. Check the chests as you explore—the one beside the ferns contains the Heavy-Armor Manual, while the second holds Wootz Steel and Lunar Stone alongside the bow. These pickups are optional, separate from obtaining Veroquine.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which weapons can you buy in nearby settlements?
You can buy the Longbow from the Armorer in Aguino and the Short Axe from the Armorer in Raivo Port. Those settlement stops fit alongside your dungeon exploration.
Where can you find other equipment?
Look for Lashing Rapture on the Temple of Balor map and Turmoil Mask on the Nowah’s Cave map. You get them through those maps, so these are exploration stops, not shop purchases.
Where can you buy Killing Edge?
You can buy Killing Edge at Regio Armory. It costs 3000 Gold, so factor that into your plans for your next equipment stop.
