To get Tick Fang, head to the Gnarly Bark area near the large tree in the south biome, find a Tick, defeat it, and loot the drop.
The Into the Abyss update is Grounded 2’s August 11 content patch, and it brings the Tick back with a drop plenty of players are farming: Tick Fang. Once you reach the right part of the south biome, this is a fast enemy farm. Go to Gnarly Bark, clear the Ticks around the big tree, and loot each one for the fang.
Where Tick Fang comes from in Grounded 2

Only one enemy drops Tick Fang right now: the returning Tick. You won’t chop it off a plant or a resource node; it comes from killing and looting Ticks. The Ticks that carry it live in the Gnarly Bark region tucked into the south biome, clustered around the big tree the update planted there.
How to get Tick Fang from the new Tick in Grounded 2
Key The route is short: reach the right biome, kill a Tick, and loot it.
Head to Gnarly Bark in the south biome

Travel to the Gnarly Bark region in the southern part of the map and head straight for the large new tree the update added.
Find and defeat a new Tick

Ticks are common right around the tree. Close in on one, keep the fight under control, and take it down with a melee weapon.
Loot the Tick for Tick Fang

Loot the defeated Tick and the Tick Fang goes into your inventory.

Farming Ticks around Gnarly Bark
There’s no single spawn tile to camp. The Ticks are scattered across the Gnarly Bark stretch around the tree, and they’re aggressive: move through the area and several will come at you at once, sometimes before you even spot them.
Each returning Tick has roughly 450 health, so bring a dependable melee weapon before you start clearing them. Drop rates vary, so treat this as a repeat-farm route rather than a guaranteed one-and-done.
With no fixed spawn to camp, circle the new tree and take out every Tick you cross in one pass — it’s the quickest way to stack Tick Fang.
Old Grounded Tick Fang details that don’t carry over

If you played the first Grounded, park what you remember about Tick Fang at the door. In that game, the fang doubled as a crafting material for weapons like the Tick Macuahuitl and a couple of trophies, and it could also turn up inside Black Widow Web Sacs rather than only off Ticks.
Those old uses and alternate sources don’t carry over to Into the Abyss. Farm the current Tick drop directly and repeat the route for more rolls instead of trying to plug the fang into old recipes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a fixed spot to find Ticks around Gnarly Bark?
No. Ticks roam the whole Gnarly Bark area rather than appearing at one marked point. Since they chase, you can pull a few toward an open, cleared patch and fight them there instead of getting surrounded right at the tree.
Do the first game’s Tick Fang crafting recipes work in Grounded 2?
No. The sequel does not use the original game’s Tick Fang recipes in the Into the Abyss update, though Grounded 2 can add new uses in later patches. For now, stockpile the fang as a fresh drop instead of dropping it into old builds.
