Looks like the problems and issues with Google’s latest Pixel 2 devices aren’t over yet. According to some users who own the T-Mobile variant of the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, the Wi-Fi calling feature doesn’t seem to work as advertised.

While for most users the feature works without any problems, some are facing issues. For example, some users reported that sometimes the calls seem to connect over Wi-Fi, but other times it switches to LTE. This happens even when the Wi-Fi connection is strong and stable.

The fix is easy, and you can follow the instructions below to start using Wi-Fi calling on your T-Mobile Pixel 2 smartphone. Some users did report that you may have to call T-Mobile and ask them to enable the feature for you, however, that is not needed.

Basically, if it doesn’t work for you, then there’s something wrong with your router or the internet connection is too slow. Even if the Wi-Fi network is strong but the speed is slow, the Pixel will switch to LTE for calling.
