Gamers with light wallets, rejoice! For Steam has finally added a new ‘Trending Free’ tab where you can find new games – that others are also talking about – to download without parting with a single dime.
There has always been such an array of free games on Steam, and without a proper sorting mechanism, that going through them feels like a treasure mission in itself. Although there is a ‘Free to Play’ section, it doesn’t show which of the games there are trending.
Thankfully, Steam now has a new ‘Trending Free’ tab that will list all such games. Getting to it isn’t easy though. You’ll have to zoom past a lot of drivel on the page.
Here’s a textual reference on how to get to it, exactly:
- Open Steam and click on Store.
- Scroll down until you get to the ‘New and Trending’ tab.
- Look to the tab on the extreme right. And there it is: Trending Free.
- Other than Free games, you’ll also find a few ‘Free Demo’ games which aren’t exactly complete games. To narrow down the search, click on Free to Play at the bottom.
- And just like that, you’ll be on a page that shows nothing but free and trending games that are actually completely free to play. So dive right in.
