One of the biggest changes that Android 9 Pie brings is how we navigate our Android devices. In place of the usual buttons, the latest and greatest OS from Google lets you jump from point A to B using gestures. Even though this feature is already available for those using Pie beta on the Huawei Honor Play (stable version available in Poland), the company is rolling out a small update to the stable EMUI 8 version that adds support for full-screen gestures.

The update is arriving as version EMUI 8.2.0.141 and even though the text translation isn’t clear enough, these full-screen gestures should work in the typical way – where swiping up from bottom takes you to the home screen and swiping from the side takes you to the previous page.

Since the Honor Play has already received this month’s Android security patches, the B141 update still keeps this version as well as includes plenty of other bug fixes and performance enhancements. Being an OTA update, it may take several days before all Honor Play users get the download notification, so you’ll have to be patient.
