At the moment, Huawei is ruling the budget smartphone segment with its series of Honor phones, one of them being the Honor 7X. Like the previous Honor 6X, the 7X is a great piece of hardware that perfectly balances between premium design, performance specs and price, however, only two color variants of black and blue have been available in the U.S. since its launch.
Today, you can get the Huawei Honor 7X in a third paint – red. Yes, you guessed it! Valentine’s Day is almost here and with the new color finish, Huawei definitely has a target market in mind. To top it up, the company also has a Valentine’s Day special giveaway contest that is apparently about falling in love.
Despite the color change, everything else remains the same as other color variants of the Honor 7X. This means you still get a metallic body that houses a 5.9-inch 18:9 display with a full HD+ resolution, dual cameras on the back with support for portrait mode, Kirin 659 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a decent 3340mAh battery unit.
Like any other Huawei phone, the Honor 7X works perfectly with all GSM carriers, including T-Mobile and AT&T, and it costs $200. In the U.S., the red Honor 7X starts selling today and the first 100 people to buy the phone will get free Monster earphones worth $49.
If you are in India, Amazon has confirmed that the Red Limited Edition Honor 7X will also be sold as an exclusive priced at INR 12,999. Although there’s no specific date, the fact that Valentine’s Day is only a week away suggests that it won’t be long before the phone is available for purchase.
