Fighting styles are your melee combat kits in Haze Seas, so picking one affects both farming and PvP. Most of the work is simple but grind-heavy: buy the V1, build mastery on that exact style, then bring the right material and fee for V2.

Older trainer locations still circulate for some styles, especially Fishman Karate and Cyborg, but the current route places Fishman Karate, Electro, Cyborg, and Dragon Claw together on Land of the Gods in Sea 3. Black Leg is the early outlier, since its V1 trainer is available from Sea 1.

How fighting styles and V2 upgrades work

Each fighting style is a close-range combat kit with its own moveset. Those moves unlock as you raise mastery, so simply buying a style is only the start of building it.

Because its V1 is cheap but its V2 material comes much later, Black Leg is best bought early and leveled naturally while you progress toward Sea 3 content.

Fishman Karate V1 route and V2 materials

Fishman Karate is a Sea 3 fighting style with a cash-based V1 unlock and a sea-event material requirement for V2. If you are already farming Sea Beasts, this is one of the more direct upgrade paths to plan around.

Electro V1 trainer and Raijin Core V2 cost

Electro shares the same V1 cash price as Fishman Karate, but its V2 fee uses Gems instead of the usual multi-million cash payment. The material grind also sends you toward the Raijin superboss, so do not mix it up with the Sea Beast or Saturn routes.

Cyborg V1 scientist and Saturn Ring V2 path

Cyborg has the highest cash price among the V1 fighting styles. Its V2 route is also boss-specific, so the important part is farming Saturn rather than wasting time on unrelated Sea 3 drops.

Dragon Claw V1 Gems cost and V2 materials

Dragon Claw is the only V1 fighting style bought with Gems, so it needs different budgeting from the cash styles before you even start the mastery grind. Its V2 also keeps that Gem pressure, with the material tied to the Dragon Hybrid boss.

Upgrade order and mistakes to avoid

Pick one fighting style first, keep it equipped, and push it to 300 mastery before spreading your grind across the rest. That saves time because every V2 checks the mastery of its own V1 style, not your overall character progress.

The common mistakes are all avoidable: arriving without the V1 equipped, confusing character mastery with style mastery, farming the wrong boss or event, or bringing the drops without the final fee.
