How to Get Fishman V2 and Sea Beast V2 Armor in Haze Seas

Both of these upgrades run off the same grind: Sea Beast Hearts. Once you have a stack of them, the paths split — Douran hands over the Sea Beast Armor V2 and Sea Beast Helmet V2, while the Sage of Combat in the Third Sea turns your Fishman fighting style into Fishman V2. Here’s exactly what to farm, where to go, and what each reward actually gives you.

Requirements for both upgrades

Before you move around the map, get your farming sorted, because everything here starts with the Sea Beast. Killing one isn’t strictly the goal — you’re after the Sea Beast Heart, which drops at roughly 25%. For the Sea Beast V2 armor set, a single Heart is enough to unlock the crafting interaction; take it to Douran and the V2 armor and helmet are right there in his menu. No extra recipe, core, or currency cost is shown on top of that, so don’t go hunting for materials the game doesn’t ask for.

Farm a Sea Beast Heart

Roam the open ocean to summon a Sea Beast — the Heart drops at about 25%, and the more players nearby, the higher the spawn chance.

Let a Sea Beast spawn

Sea Beasts appear at random while you patrol the ocean, so you don’t have to solo the fight — you just need the Heart to drop.

Head to Douran

Once a Sea Beast Heart is in your inventory, travel to Douran and open his menu.

The set is a straightforward tank-and-mobility package, and it’s worth knowing the numbers before you commit to the grind. Between the two pieces you’re looking at a large chunk of extra health, a real speed jump, and an Observation Haki level from the helmet — useful for dodging in PvP.

Fishman V2 moves worth chasing

Once the upgrade goes through, the Fishman kit picks up some serious range and launch tools. The upgraded M1s feed into Hydro Launch, which you can hold down for a stronger effect. Poseidon Trident is the standout — the range on it is genuinely huge, letting you poke from well outside normal engagement distance. Tidal Descent rounds it out by flinging targets straight up into the air, setting up follow-ups or just resetting a fight in your favor.

Clearing up the SB V2 and Fishman V2 mix-ups

When players say “SB V2 Armor Set”, they mean exactly the two pieces above — Sea Beast Armor V2 plus Sea Beast Helmet V2, both from Douran. That matters because older Haze Piece guides describe a different SeaBeast Armor crafted at a blacksmith from a Sea Beast Core and an Ice Core, with lower stats. Those materials belong to that other game and don’t apply to the current Sea Beast Armor V2, so don’t go farming cores for it. You’ll also see mentions of crafting the armor at a Legendary Blacksmith on Starter Island — treat that as older, conflicting info; the route that works here is Douran.
