How to Do the Summer Event in Grow a Garden

The Summer Event is an hourly farming turn-in, not a one-and-done quest. The main loop is simple: stock your garden with Summer crops, use the tide window to submit eligible fruit, and push your Harvest Points while the timer is running. The same update also ties into daily team goals and the Summer Seed Shop, so preparation matters before the hour flips.

What counts for the Summer Event

When the tide rises, the event basket accepts Summer fruits and fruits with the Tidal mutation. The more eligible fruit you submit, the better your reward payout can be at the end of the Summer Harvest window.

Summer fruits come from Summer crops, so the Summer Seed Shop is part of the event prep. If your garden is light on Summer plants, buy and plant Summer seeds before the next hourly tide so you are not scrambling after the timer starts.

Tidal mutated fruits are the other way in. During the tide/weather window, water appears on the ground, and harvested fruit can gain the Tidal mutation. Those fruits count for the basket even when you are trying to squeeze in one last submission before the reward payout.

The event also has a separate team event with a daily harvest goal bar. That track is where the Lagoon Lily seed progress lives, while the basket itself handles your Summer Harvest submissions and reward rolls.

How to complete a Summer Harvest cycle in Grow a Garden

Wait for the tide

At the top of each hour, the tide rises and the Summer Harvest window starts, opening submissions for Summer fruits and Tidal mutated fruits.

Open the event basket

Talk to the event NPC/basket and use the submission option, such as Take all my summer fruits.

Submit your first batch

The basket shows how many fruits went in, and more accepted fruit means more Harvest Points.

Harvest while the timer runs

Go back to your garden, hold E on ripe plants, and refill your backpack with more eligible fruit.

Turn in another batch

Return to the event NPC and choose Take all my summer fruits again instead of waiting until the end.

Farm Tidal mutations

While water is on the ground, keep harvesting because fruits can gain the Tidal mutation during the tide.

Submit the larger haul

Bring the new harvest back to the basket and turn it in before the timer gets low.

Use inventory submit if shown

If the event menu offers Take my whole inventory, use it to dump eligible inventory quickly.

Make the last deposit

With seconds left, submit one final Summer-fruit batch to push the point total as high as possible.

Collect the reward payout

When the timer ends, the event pays out from your Harvest Points and updates team progress.

How to submit fruits during the Summer Harvest timer

1. INTRO: Fruit submission is a repeat loop: basket, harvest, mutation check, basket again.
2. Find the submission spot — The event basket is where Summer Harvest submissions go, and rewards scale with the amount you add.
3. Choose the Summer fruit option — Use Take all my summer fruits when the menu appears to turn in carried Summer fruits.
4. Watch the submitted count — The game tells you how many fruits were accepted, which helps you see whether your inventory had eligible items.
5. Reopen the NPC menu — After harvesting more, talk to the event NPC again and submit another batch right away.
6. Use the wet ground window — When water covers the ground, keep checking harvested fruit for the Tidal mutation.
7. Submit again with a fresh batch — Return to the basket once you have more fruit and use the Summer-fruit submission option.
8. Dump inventory if available — Use Take my whole inventory when the UI offers it and your backpack is full.
9. Send the final batch — Make one more turn-in in the last seconds so those fruits count before reward payout.

Harvest Points and reward rolls

Harvest Points come from eligible fruit submissions during the Summer Harvest window. The simple rule is that more accepted fruit gives better reward rolls, so it is usually better to submit repeatedly than to hold fruit and risk missing the timer.

Older Summer Harvest values used these point breaks. If the live event UI shows a different bar, follow the in-game numbers.

The reward pool mixes currency, gear, crates, seed packs, seeds, and eggs. A run at around 954 Harvest Points paid out sheckles, Recall Wrench, Cleaning Spray, Normal Seed Pack, Coastal Crate, and Campfire Seed Pack; higher point totals give you a better shot at stronger rolls.

Team goals and Lagoon Lily progress

The team event is separate from your individual basket payout. It uses daily harvest goals to fill a shared progress bar, and that bar can move after Summer Harvest activity.

You can work on team harvest progress solo, but it is much slower. Create a team, join an active one, or invite friends so the daily bar fills faster and the Lagoon Lily track is less punishing.

Better ways to earn Summer rewards

Prepare before the top of the hour. Fill your garden with Summer crops from the Summer Seed Shop, and keep ripe fruit ready so your first basket submission happens immediately when the tide starts. Fast-growing crops like Tomatoes are useful for volume, while higher-value fruit such as Sugar Apples can matter more when it qualifies or rolls Tidal.

During the timer, do not wait around with eligible fruit in your backpack. Keep harvesting, return to the basket, submit again, and repeat until the payout triggers. If you use Pack Bees to hold extra fruits, stockpiling before the event can make those first turn-ins much stronger.

Prioritize Tidal mutated fruits whenever water is on the ground. Those fruits are the event’s special mutation target, and they are especially useful when you are low on Summer crops but still want to add points before the window closes.

For the team track, an active server matters. If public lobbies are slowing you down, play with friends or a coordinated team so the daily harvest goal moves steadily instead of leaving one player to carry the bar alone.
