Google had been neglecting the Google Voice for a long time now. It was not until recently that the search engine giant had rolled out a long overdue update to the app. Now that the app is all new and is in line with Google’s material design standards, the company is adding a lot of other cool features to it.

Once cool addition comes in the form of ability to delete conversations. Moreover, users can also simply archive a conversation just by long-pressing the conversation list. The update also brings along the ability to disable app notifications for text messages.

And there’s lot more. Google has also added support for GIF image search on Gboard — meaning if you are using the Gboard keyboard app, and have the GIF feature enabled in its settings, you can send a GIF by directly search from the keyboard itself.

The Google Voice app now also supports (much-needed?) Do Not Disturb mode, while rest of the changelog includes bug fixes and performance improvements.

Currently, the update is rolling out to the Android users, but iOS users can also expect to see the update hitting their devices very soon.
