Google starts rolling out final Android 7.1.2 update

Google has started rolling out the stable build of Android 7.1.2 to some devices. Users of Nexus Player and Pixel C smartphones have reported receiving the Android 7.1.2 OS.

Notably, the the first 7.1.2 beta was released in January followed by a second beta roll out in March. Now, the final Android 7.1.2 update has started seeding out to users outside the beta program.

Although, the Android 71.1 update weighs around 340MB, it is a minor one in terms of features. It ‘fixes critical bugs and improves the performance and stability’ on your device. Other than these, some of the new features introduced by 7.1.2 update are a new battery usage list, Pixel’s fingerprint scanner gesture for the Nexus 6P and 5X and the Pixel Launcher for Pixel C.
