The offline navigation functionality for Maps for Android is eagerly awaited by many, but Google has come up with an update that will help us in the meantime. The update takes the Maps for Android to the version number 9.10 and it rolls out to the Play Store. This update brings car information and an enhanced photo viewer.
For beginners, if you have a rental car linked to your Google account, you will be able to view the details when you search for the pick-up or drop-off location. Maps will provide you all the important details that you require such as reservation number, type of car, time of reservation and more.
Google has enhanced the photo viewer in the Maps app that allows you to view several photos at a time when searching for the location with photos. Google has also taken more of the gallery approach this time rather than the older way of showing one picture at a time.
Moreover, Your Places screen is getting a design revamp, whereas the Shake to Send Feedback option is disabled by default. The update is now making its way to the Play Store and you can update it from this link.
