Google launches UPI based payment app ‘Tez’ in India

It’s 18th of September and the Google Payment app is here. The new payment app specifically designed for Indian users is known as ‘Tez’, which in Hindi means fast.

Google’s new digital payment app for India uses UPI and works with all major Indian banks. Interestingly, the app also supports multiple Indian languages like Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu.

With Tez app, you can send money to anyone directly from your bank account. No need to create any separate account or load money into wallets. All you need to do is link your bank account with Tez app and that’s it.

The app also comes with a new and interesting method to share money with nearby users. Dubbed as “Cash mode”, you can send money instantly to nearby Tez users without sharing bank details or phone number. The feature works in the same way as you share photos to a nearby device using apps like Shareit etc.

Further, it also comes with interesting offers such as scratch cards and referral rewards. With a clean interface, Tez app is truly user-friendly.
