Now, a teardown of Google Keep v5.26.381.01.90 reveals a new detail: Docs Live is getting specific confirmation messages for voice changes. The wording makes clear that selecting another voice will restart the current session and discard work already in progress.
Changing voices will restart the Docs Live session
The new strings, seen below, point to a confirmation step when someone changes the voice used by Docs Live. One message warns that the change will restart the session and erase the conversation accumulated up to that point.
A second version applies the warning to an active draft. It tells the user that changing voices will restart Docs Live and discard the current draft, while a matching confirmation title asks whether they want to reset and discard it.
Together, the messages show that Docs Live can preserve an ongoing conversation or draft during a session, but changing its voice starts that session over. This is more specific than the broader voice-drafting capability Google has already announced: the new finding is the reset behavior and the confirmation copy designed to prevent someone from unintentionally losing current work.
We found these strings while examining Google Keep v5.26.381.01.90, but could not surface Docs Live in the app. The feature is not available to users yet, and we’ll watch future builds for its rollout.
