Google Drive now allows sharing to Google+ directly

Google Drive, the cloud service from the search giant, has just received a new feature update which could be a game-changer. If you’ve got a document or photo or a presentation or a video or anything worth sharing, stored on Google Drive, Google has added the ability to share from Drive directly into your  Google+ account.

And wait, it doesn’t end there. Users accessing stuff you’ve shared from Drive, do not have to leave their Google+ stream to be able to view  it. Your shared content remains right there in the stream, and is viewable within the stream. Within Google Drive, if you were to click the share option for any file, you would now see a Google+ icon in the options available. Keep in mind though, that the sharing feature won’t work with a Private document, and you would have to either set it to Anyone with the link or the Public option for it to work.

If you’re a regular Google+ user, this is definitely an extremely useful, and handy feature to have. Although usage of Google+ may have still not reached the levels that Google would have ideally wanted, addition of nifty features like these indicates that Google still has hope, and perhaps even plans, for the Google+ social platform.
