Google Assistant now rolling out in UK and Australia

As promised, Google Assistant is now being rolled out to all eligible devices in the UK and Australia. Google’s AI powered Assistant was launched exclusively with the Google Pixel smartphones which last month was made available to other devices as well running Android Marshmallow and Nougat OS.

In fact, several smartphones such as LG G6, Moto G5, Moto G5 Plus, Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus come preloaded with the Google Assistant.

Google started releasing the virtual assistant on non-Pixel devices first for users in the US last month. And now, the roll out has begun for users in UK and Australia. This will be followed by Canada. Google is also planning to release it in German language for users in Germany.

However, Google has confirmed that Android Tablets will not be getting the Google Assistant. If you want to know all the Google Assistant Tips and Tricks, you can click on the link below.

  1. LPT: I changed my system language to English US and got Google Assistant on my device running Nougat. Later I did change it back to English India and the assistant stayed and its active.

  2. it’s good that Google provided google assistant to each and every android device in the world but I hardly find any use of it, sure it helps to lot to search for something by just voice command and try to find good places to eat or visit but when it comes to Indian English understanding, it still need some improvements!! I’m sure google will fix it soon with coming android 8!!
