If you are using Huawei Honor 6 on Android 5.1 under the beta program, then you will need a new version of TWRP that is compatible with Android 5.1. And that’s already available for download and installation. With Honor 6 due to receive official Android 5.1 update shortly, it was about time a working TWRP recovery for 5.1 update was available already.
Installing the Android 5.1 compatible TWRP recovery is usual easy, as you need to flash the recovery from fastboot mode. Check out the guide below for full instructions. And btw, credit for this goes to acbka, thanks a lot!
Don’t try this TWRP recovery on Android 5.0 build on your Honor 6 and this might not be compatible with pre-5.1 builds. Until it’s confirmed, better void it.
Note: If you are doing this for the first time, we recommend you create a full backup of your device right after installing the TWRP recovery.
