The Nexus 4 sure seems to be getting more and more carrier-elusive across the globe. After reports from down under that major carriers may not be carrying the Nexus 4, there is a new report from Germany this time.

It appears that German carrier Telekom, has responded to a customer query on Twitter, like Vodafone did in Oz, that they have no plans for the Nexus 4 in Q4 of 2012, and do not have any information or visibility on future arrangements. It is said though  that the Nexus 4 will be available across the border, in Austria though, as an exclusive through 3.

German enthusiasts would still be able to purchase the unlocked version of the Nexus 4 through Google Play starting November 13th, just like everybody else. With Europe pricing on Google Play working out to €299 for the 8GB and €349 for the 16GB versions, VAT included, it may not really matter if carriers offer the device on a plan or not. And for the carriers that eventually do, its going to be an uphill task convincing customers to sign up for minimum monthly commitment plans, when the SIM-free version is priced so attractively.
