What to know
- Gemini’s agent dashboard is gaining “Active & Recent” and “Suggested” sections, task-status labels, and a “View more” control.
- The update could make ongoing agent work easier to follow by distinguishing tasks that are processing, need input, or have unread activity.
- These additions come from code in the unreleased Google app v17.66.11.sa.arm64 build.
Google has already been working on an Agent Dashboard for Gemini’s overlay, giving users a place to return to recent conversations, suggestions, and updates. The feature has appeared in the Google app’s code since June 27, 2026, when we first found it in version 17.35.26.sa.arm64.
Now, a teardown of Google app v17.66.11.sa.arm64 shows a more organized version of that dashboard. The latest code adds categorized sections, distinct states for ongoing tasks, and a control for expanding the visible list.
The dashboard is splitting work into two sections
The broader Agent Dashboard capability is already public, including its role as a sheet for returning to recent Gemini conversations. What is new in this build is the way Gemini appears set to organize that space.
Google app v17.66.11.sa.arm64 introduces labels for “Active & Recent” and “Suggested.” The first section points to a combined view of ongoing agent work and recent activity, while the second gives Gemini a dedicated place to present suggested actions or tasks. A new “View more” string indicates that users will be able to expand the dashboard when additional entries are available.
This builds on the dashboard’s older welcome, settings, setup, and “You are all caught up!” strings. Instead of functioning only as a recent-chat sheet, the updated code points to a broader task-management surface where active work and Gemini’s suggestions occupy clearly named areas.
Task states show when Gemini needs your attention
The same build adds three accessibility strings for agent-task status: “Processing,” “Needs input,” and “Unread.” Together, they provide a simple lifecycle for work handed to Gemini.
“Processing” identifies a task that is still underway. “Needs input” marks work that cannot proceed without a response or decision from you, while “Unread” identifies an update that has not yet been reviewed. These states should make it easier to scan the dashboard and understand which tasks are progressing independently and which ones require attention.
The expanded Agent Dashboard is not available to users yet. We’ll watch future Google app builds for signs of its rollout.
