What to know

  • Gemini is adding a dedicated Remembered items card for viewing and managing text and images saved to Memory.
  • The controls should give you one place to review saved details, including items represented as image attachments.
  • We found the dormant code in the unreleased Google app v17.70.10.sa.arm64, but could not surface the interface in the app.

Gemini’s broader ability to remember information about you is already public, and references to its Memory feature have appeared in the Google app’s code since June 23, 2026, or earlier.

Now, our teardown of Google app v17.70.10.sa.arm64 reveals a more specific update: a dedicated Remembered items area where you can view and manage the text and images saved to Gemini’s memory.

About APK teardowns — An APK teardown works by reading the not-yet-shipped code inside a beta build, which lets us preview features a developer is working on before they’re announced. But work-in-progress code can change, stay hidden behind a server-side flag, or be scrapped before it ever reaches your phone.

Remembered items gets a dedicated management area

The clearest addition is a new card titled “Remembered items.” Its accompanying text says you can view and manage the text and images you have saved to memory, while a separate accessibility label identifies the card’s action as “View your remembered items.”

Together, these strings point to a direct entry into a management interface rather than Memory being explained only as a background personalization feature. Additional icon descriptions show that the card has its own visual identity and an end icon that opens the saved-items area.

assistant_robin_personal_context_remembered_items_body_text = "\"You can view and manage the text and images you’ve saved to memory\""
assistant_robin_personal_context_remembered_items_click_target_description = "View your remembered items"
assistant_robin_personal_context_remembered_items_end_icon_description = "Icon to view your remembered items"
assistant_robin_personal_context_remembered_items_icon_description = "Icon for the Remembered items card"

Saved images appear as attachments

The new code also includes an “Attachment” description specifically tied to a remembered-item image. That gives us evidence that the Remembered items interface accounts for images as individual saved objects, matching the card’s explicit reference to managing both text and images.

The string does not reveal how an image is displayed or what actions are available for each attachment, so the code supports only the presence of an image-attachment representation inside this feature.

This extends Gemini’s existing Memory feature

This is an update to existing work, not a new Memory feature. Earlier Google app builds already described Memory as a way for Gemini to learn from past chats and included a link for managing and deleting those chats. The new build adds the more focused Remembered items card and saved-content controls on top of that foundation.

assistant_robin_personal_context_card_1_title_memory = "Memory"
assistant_robin_personal_context_card_1_body_text_memory_live_launched = "Gemini learns from your past chats to understand more about you."
assistant_robin_personal_context_card_1_footer_text = "<a href=%1$s>Manage and delete</a> your past chats anytime. <a href=%2$s>Learn more</a>"

The dedicated Remembered items interface is not available to users yet, and we’ll watch future Google app builds for its rollout.
