AT&T is now finally rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to Galaxy Tab S2. The unlocked variant of the tablet first received Nougat update back in April in the US, followed by other regions and then recently to carrier variants in the US starting with T-Mobile, then Sprint and now at AT&T.

Nougat brings in new bells and whistles like quick reply from the notification shade, improved Doze mode for better battery gains, revamped User Interface and a whole lot more. Android 8.0.0 isn’t that far off either, but we’re uncertain if the Tab S2 will receive this update this year.

Weighing in at 1.1GB, the Nougat update for Tab S2 also brings with it May security patch. To be eligible to get the update notification, make sure that your tablet runs on either T817AUCU2BPI4 or T818AUCS1AQD1 firmware build.

Other than the update to Tab S2, rumor has it that Samsung is working on Galaxy Tab Active 2. It is in dire need of an update since the current gen Tab Active was launched in year 2014. Also, the Galaxy Tab A 2017 is also nearing a release too, with the device showing up at WiFi Alliance recently.
