After much anticipation, LineageOS 15.1 based on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo was made official several weeks ago and as the clock ticks, more and more devices keep gaining support. We recently saw the Redmi Note 5 Pro jump on board following the addition of Huawei Honor View 10 and Mate 10, and now it’s the turn for Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus to join the party.

Those using the Exynos variants of the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus can now enjoy the latest Android 8.1 Oreo on their devices courtesy of LineageOS 15.1. Keep in mind that these downloads are not supported on the Snapdragon variant, so make sure you confirm your device’s model before attempting to download and flash the ROM on your S9 or S9 Plus.

It’s worth noting that the official LineageOS pages have not been updated with the builds for the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, which makes the above versions unofficial.

Also, if you happen to own Xiaomi’s Mi Note 2, the phone has received the go-ahead to download and install LineageOS 15.1 on an official note. The file size is 526.19MB and as noted, it is based on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo.
