Nine months after the official unveiling, Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus have received a new avatar in the form of Ice Blue color. This is the first gradient type color option that Samsung has decided to decorate its flagship phone with, apart from six color options it launched with. However, this variant is currently launching in China only.
The new Ice Blue variant of the Galaxy S9 is already up for pre-orders in China at CNY 5,499 (USD 790 approx.) but only for the 128GB ROM variant. It is expected to start shipping from November 20.

The Galaxy S9 Plus will cost CNY 6,499 for the new colored variant and starts shipping from November 26. Both these phones will come bundled with a wireless charger.
The Galaxy S flagship phones are very popular across the world, so it wouldn’t come as a surprise if Samsung announces the new color for the world market too, especially if it wants to push sales for one last time before the successors, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus are unveiled in MWC 2019.
Samsung is also in the process of unleashing a new UI called One UI for its flagship devices. Wondering when it will release and whether your device is eligible for the One UI, see this page on One UI device list and release date here.
