Galaxy S9 and S9+ are a bit thicker and wider, and slightly smaller than the S8 and S8+

Samsung’s new Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus handsets are actually a tiny bit smaller in height, and wider than the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus compared respectively. But worse, they are also exact 0.5mm thicker at 8.5mm than the S8 sets, which is more than slightly by today’s standards. The dimensions of the S8 ran at 148.9 x 68.1 x 8mm, while the of the S9 are 147.7 x 68.7 x 8.5mm; that for the S8+ are 159.5 x 73.4 x 8.1mm, while for the S9+, it is 158.1 x 73.8 x 8.5mm. Maybe Samsung had to sacrifice the device thickness a little bit to jam in that incredible dual aperture camera that zooms in and out to focus at either of f/2.4 and f/1.5 aperture levels. Thought you should know. That’s all.
