Another day, another set of Galaxy S8 rumors, bud! Today’s gossiping out of Chinese twitter known as Weibo, reveals a couple of specs for the couple of markets: USA and the Rest of World (ROW).
We’re hearing that Samsung would use Qualcomm’s processor for the Galaxy S8 sets to be sold in USA — not surprising at all, BTW! — and would tie them up with Sony’s IMX series of next-gen camera modules.
While, everywhere else, Samsung would continue using its own Exynos brand of processor, with its own camera sensors, rather than Sony’s modules.
Speaking of the camera, today’s rumor has it that the dual-camera setup would arrive on the Samsung’s device at last, and would feature a combination of 12MP and 13MP sensors. It seems the Galaxy S8 Plus will indeed feature the dual-camera setup, thus, while the smaller Galaxy S8 would feature single camera.
Yup, that’s your lot for today, but the way things look to be shaping up, expect whole lot of Galaxy S8 rumors flowing out of Weibo and Twitter in near future.
The Galaxy S8 release is rumored for April 2016, as Samsung is looking to do some serious extra testing to prevent another Note 7-like trouble, given which, LG is looking to take full advantage of the situation by planning to release the LG G6 a month earlier than usual, in Feb-end or early-March.
