As the unveiling date of Galaxy S8 inches closer, new startling features about the premium smartphone are surfacing online. If a face scanner and facial recognition support for mobile payment on Galaxy S8 weren’t powerful enough to make you sit up and take note, here’s another biggie which is sure you make you gasp in awe. If recent leaked reports are to be believed, Samsung has endowed Galaxy S8 with camera sensors which can record videos at an incredible slow motion rate of 1000 frames per second (fps).
To gauge the power of the camera, a comparison stands to be the true mirror. There’s no denying that Sony’s cameras are the lifeline of its smartphones. In fact, people went gaga over the recently launched d Sony Xperia XZ Premium and Xperia XZs smartphones plainly owing to the 19MP rear camera which has the capability of shooting slow-motion videos at 960fps. A quick reminder here. Samsung’s camera power is that of 1000fps. Can anything beat that?
The Korean giant has clearly outdone not only Sony but all other top OEMs in this domain, leaving its arch rival Apple far behind. iPhone 7 is capable of recording slow-motion 1080p videos at 120fps and 720p videos at 240fps. It stands no where near Samsung in terms of camera quality.
This is how a 1,000 FPS Video looks like:

While the rear 12MP camera on Galaxy S8 boasts of the insane slow motion recording, its 8MP front shooter features auto-focus technology. But that’s not the only camera in the front as the iris scanner too will reportedly sport a 3.7-megapixel camera sensor for improved authentication.
All the past leaked images and specsheet has already got Samsung a hoard of curious buyers stacking up their expenses to purchase Galaxy S8, it has amassed an equal if not less number of avid Samsung fans who had changed their track post the Note 7 fiasco. Now all eyes are set on March 29th when Samsung plans to release the S8.
